Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q) How do I create my Custom Hoodie Awards Book?

A) Watch the video below for information about how to create your custom book.

Q) When I place my photo in the template, I get an error message with a red exclamation point. Why?

A) To maintain the best quality printing, the 2009 Hoodie Awards Book is printed in high resolution -- 300 dpi. Consequently, the files size of your photos can not be very small, such as photos from some mobile phone cameras, for example. If the photo file size is too small, you will get this warning message, and you should select a different photo. Printing a photo that is too small will result in poor image quality in your final book.

Q) When I preview my book, I only see the Front Cover, Back Cover and the last 2 pages.

A) You can customize two (2) pages of the album, plus the back cover. You can not customize the cover. To see a preview of the entire book, visit the homepage of HoodieBook.com where you can see a slideshow of book's page spreads.

Q) Can I add additional pages for customization?

A) No, the layout is specifically designed to allow the four (4) custom pages, plus the back cover.

Q) When I put my picture in the image box, I get a red exclamation point warning saying "You have an overflowing text box or low resolution photo..." What does this mean?

A) Making a printed album requires higher resolutions photos than displaying the picture on your monitor or mobile phone. This warning means that your photo is not high enough resolution. This may happen if you used a mobile phone to take the photo, or if you are using one of the larger images boxes. Try using a smaller image box first, and if your picture resolution is still to low, you will have to use a different photo of higher resolution. This warning also displays if you have put too much text into a text box. To remedy the text length problem, you should make your text caption shorter.

Q) How long does it take to get my custom album?

A) Your custom album will ship from our manufacturing operation in Rochester, NY within 10 to 14 business days. Delivery of the album after shipment will be a function of the shipping method selected and your delivery location.

Q) I selected the option to use images from my Photobucket Account for inclusion in the book, but when I do so, it takes me out of the custom album site. Is that correct?

A) Yes. You must authorize our access to your Photobucket image sets for inclusion in the tray of images available for you custom album. This access is only for the purpose of downloading your pictures to the album creation tool, does not allow any access beyond the creation of your custom printed album.

Q) I ordered my Album, but decided that I added a photo that I did not really want to use. Can I cancel my order?

A) No. Once the custom album order has been submitted for production the book cannot be canceled.

Q) I received my book and I am not happy with the quality of the book, what do I do?

A) Contact Customer Service. Please include all details regarding your complaint and a phone number where we can reach you, and we will call to discuss the process for returns.
